On Saturday, September 9th, Record Management Solutions (RMS) and the Berkeley County Solid Waste Authority (BCSWA) will conduct its Fall paper shred event. This event is will occur at the South Berkeley Recycling Center from the hours of 9am to 12 noon. Each Berkeley County resident will be able to destroy up to five medium sized boxes for free. A medium sized box is defined as a box roughly 12 inches tall; 24 inches long and 12 inches wide or smaller. There will be a $4.00 fee per box for any amount over five boxes and a $7 fee for larger boxes. All shredded paper will be recycled.
Hard Drives - RMS will also be accepting computer hard drives during the 3 hour event for subsequent destruction at the RMS facility. Berkeley County residents interested in participating should remove the hard drive from the computer prior to arriving at the event. There is an acceptance limit of 5 hard drives per individual. There is a $10.00 fee per hard drive.
